Both the DeLonghi Eletta vs Jura E8 are the best espresso machines made by DeLonghi and Jura. You won’t find another espresso machine that can produce espresso of equal quality. If we must pick, which is the best option? In this case, I would pick DeLonghi Eletta as the winner.

The DeLonghi Eletta has features that make it easy for a beginner to use and feel comfortable with. It provides manual and automatic milk frothing, making it perfect for milk-based coffee drinkers. The two separate heating systems make coffee and foamed milk simultaneously and give you more consistent results.

The Jura E8 can make an excellent shot of espresso thanks to its multiple coffee recipes, Professional Aroma G3 grinder, Pulse Extraction Process, user-friendly LCD display and more. Although it’s not within the price range of everyone, the Jura E8 is a fantastic automated machine for producing high-quality espresso and milk-based beverages.

DeLonghi Eletta vs Jura E8: Differences

The DeLonghi Eletta is the ideal machine for anyone who enjoys drinking coffee. It works wonderfully for beginners to start with. It defeats the Jura E8 by a score of 3–1 thanks to its superior performance, better grinder features, and silky smooth, creamier milk foam.

1. Coffee Flavor

The Winner: DeLonghi Eletta

+ Coffee Grinder

Coffee may be ground with greater versatility using the DeLonghi Eletta. The integrated burr grinder is both smooth and multi-functional thanks to 13 different grind size adjustments. You don’t have to worry about anything when you’re making precise adjustments to the grind’s fineness or coarseness. However, I wouldn’t recommend going too fine because it can cause some clogging issues.

About the Jura E8, It has an Aroma3 grinder that has 7 levels of grind size adjustments. The grinder that Jura uses is very quiet, unlike the Eletta, which is very loud. However, it does not provide the same level of versatility and flexibility as the DeLonghi Eletta.

+ Heating System

DeLonghi Eletta has two separate heating systems
DeLonghi Eletta has two separate heating systems

Both the DeLonghi Eletta and the Jura E8 come equipped with an outstanding and practical heating system. However, in contrast to the Jura E8, the DeLonghi Eletta features two separate heating systems, which results in a slightly quicker and more convenient brewing process.

The DeLonghi Eletta has two separate heating systems, one for brewing and one for frothing milk. Because of this, you will be able to make coffee and foamed milk simultaneously, which is a really big deal. A further benefit is that the machine won’t have to divide its heating capabilities between heating milk and brewing coffee all the time, giving you more consistent results. It can also make two cups of coffee in the same amount of time it usually takes to make one cup. It takes about 45 to 60 seconds to warm up.

The Jura E8 has just a single boiler for the heating system. Because of this, there are two distinct differences. It is not possible to brew and foam simultaneously. You will need to complete each step sequentially. It takes longer than a minute, and sometimes even two, for the machine to heat up after being turned on.

+ Espresso Quality

Jura E8's espresso is drool-worthy
Jura E8’s espresso is drool-worthy

The Jura E8 makes brewing coffee feel like working in a real coffee shop! The Jura Aroma G3 grinder, in tandem with the company’s Pulse Extraction Process (P.E.P. ), ensures that your cup of coffee is an unrivaled flavor. The Jura espresso is rich and flavorful, with a thick, dark crema and no unpleasant bitter aftertaste. Furthermore, the aroma of the coffee beans is brought out in full. The Jura E8 has proven itself worthy of its position as a top-tier super automated espresso machine. I give that a big thumbs-up.

When it comes to brewing, the DeLonghi is not nearly as impressive as the Jura. It is an excellent, fully automatic machine for those who are just starting. However, it does not have the high-performance pump system that the Jura does. If you want to drink extremely great espresso with an aroma that is impossible to resist, I recommend purchasing a Jura E8. It tastes better, even for novices, and is closer to what a barista would make.

After all, if you are a beginner, I still recommend the DeLonghi Eletta. Its coffee flavor is too enough to satisfy you. In addition, we are unable to ignore the fantastic grinder and heating system that it possesses.

2. Milk System – Blending Power

The Winner: DeLonghi Eletta

You can steam milk both automatically and manually with the DeLonghi Eletta.
You can steam milk both automatically and manually with the DeLonghi Eletta.

The Eletta incorporates DeLonghi’s fantastic LatteCrema system for hands-free milk steaming. The LatteCrema milk carafe is removable, so it may be kept in the fridge until needed. I really like the froth dial since it gives you such fine control over the consistency of the milk foam. Using this LatteCrema system, the DeLonghi Eletta can produce a milk foam that is more finely textured, silkier, and creamier than before for lattes and latte art.

Furthermore, milk’s flavor and consistency are both enhanced thanks to its adjustable milk foam temperature feature, which is lacking in the Jura model. In addition to that, I discovered that it maintains the milk’s heat for a longer time.

If all that wasn’t enough, the DeLonghi Eletta also gives you the option to steam milk manually. The machine features a steam wand that can also dispense hot water. I’ve gathered that the steam wand is an extremely efficient tool for producing milk foam with a very fine texture.

The Jura E8 comes equipped with a quick and simple milk frothing system. However, it does not produce consistent and rich micro-foam as Its rival do. It provides adjustable milk settings, so you can take control of the milk foam if you want to. But it generates denser milk. The milk spout offers limited control over the frothing of the milk. However, the majority of the process is carried out automatically.

The frothed milk and espresso both emerge simultaneously from the milk outlet and an additional spout. Only milkless coffee specialties are provided as usual from the central outlet. Because it has two spouts, this machine enables you to simultaneously brew two cups of espresso or any other beverage that does not require milk. Unfortunately, while using the Jura E8 milk frother, it is impossible to prepare two milk-based specialties simultaneously.

3. Utilities

The Winner: Jura E8

+ Programmable Coffee Settings

While both of these espresso machines offer good programmability, the Jura E8 boasts more flexibility than the DeLonghi Elleta. The DeLonghi Eletta is not the machine for you if you are searching for a fully automatic espresso maker that can produce any and all types of specialized coffee at the push of a button.

Having said that, you shouldn’t let this dissuade you from purchasing this machine because it produces exceptional espresso and wonderful milk foam. In any case, there are a lot of different ways to personalize drinks made with coffee as well as milk foam, so you can make the beverage of your dreams.

The DeLonghi Eletta offers one-touch buttons for cappuccino, latte and latte macchiato. It seems strange that there isn’t a one-button espresso option, but this machine is really made for people who prefer milk-based drinks. However, if espresso is your preferred beverage, then preparing it will need more effort.

Jura E7 offers 17 pre-programmed drinks
Jura E7 offers 17 pre-programmed drinks

The JURA E8, on the other hand, offers a ton of features that will make your life easier as well as coffee customizing possibilities. It offers 17 pre-programmed drinks, certain speciality drinks’ double-shot versions, and a variety of other drink variations. You can adjust each of the 17 drinks to suit your tastes.

Consequently, given all of this, my vote goes to the Jura E8 in the pre-programmed drinks battle.

+ Interface

To be honest, I’m not the biggest fan of touchscreen display, but at this price point, I would expect to see a colorful display with appealing icons. That’s why I’m so surprised to see that DeLonghi only has a small LCD text window with buttons around it.

Even so, the interface appears to be very intuitive, and in the end, all I really care about is whether or not my automatic coffee maker can deliver tasty espresso and foamy milk.

You can find a touchscreen display on the Jura E8.The high-resolution TFT color display on the Jura E8 coffee machine not only contributes to the equipment’s already elegant appearance but also makes using the device an absolute joy. You may easily program it by using the two rows of small buttons on either side of the display. There’s not much more to say about that, except that the operation is very easy to use.

+ Cup Warmer

The DeLonghi Eletta’s metal cup warmer is fantastic. I used to set it to turn on before I woke up, so that when I made coffee in the morning, the warmer plate was already heated. I love it!

Unfortunately, the Jura E8 doesn’t have this feature.

+ Compatible With App

You can pair the Jura E8 with your smartphone or tablet
You can pair the Jura E8 with your smartphone or tablet

The Jura E8 also has a wireless attachment called Smart Connect, which makes it even more convenient to operate than the DeLonghi Eletta. You can pair your smartphone or tablet with the espresso machine via the Jura app. After that, you can make adjustments, and brew coffee so long as your Bluetooth is turned on.

It does sound wonderful, I know. Honestly, I’m not sure how helpful it is. Actually, I barely used it at all. Only when I get up in the morning and want to have my coffee ready by the time I finish my morning hygiene ritual did I ever use this.

4. Price

The Winner: DeLonghi Eletta

If you are just getting started with great-coffee-at-home journey, the DeLonghi Eletta is a great option because it is more affordable than the Jura E8. Or investing in a DeLonghi Eletta is a good idea if you have a close-fitting budget.
Jura E8, though worth the money, the price of the Jura E8 is much higher than that of models of competing companies with comparable specifications.

DeLonghi Eletta vs Jura E8: Similarities

1. Both Have Bypass Doser

The component known as the bypass doser is the one that is responsible for holding the ground coffee. The bypass doser gives us the choice of using a different bean variety than what is normally used in the main bean hopper. Both the DeLonghi Eletta and the Jura E8 espresso machine come equipped with a bypass doser.

2. Cleaning and Maintenance

Both coffee machines are easy and quick to maintain. However, regular maintenance is required for both machines, especially if you plan to use them frequently to brew espresso. Rinse the coffee system every morning and make sure to wipe down the surfaces after using the milk froth to keep them from getting clogged. The top, the bean hopper, the drip tray, and the coffee spout are all easy to clean.

There is a feature that automatically rinses, cleans, and removes scale. This saves you time and effort. These machines do a great service by keeping themselves clean so they can be used for a long time.

+ Water filter

When shopping for an automatic coffee maker, I usually look for one that comes with a water filter option. After all, the quality of the coffee can be improved and the machine is protected by using water that has been purified through filtration during the brewing process. When you use a DeLonghi Eletta or a Jura E8, the water that is used to make your coffee has always been filtered.
