Gaggia History
In 1947, Gaggia was founded in Italy to produce espresso makers and coffee makers. Their espresso machines and accessories are separate from those sold by Saeco (which was later acquired by Royal Phillips Electronics in 2009).
It was in 1938 that Achille Gaggia invented the first “steamless espresso machine.” Their machines have contributed to the reputation of crema that is associated with espresso.
