In the comparison of the Jura C65 vs E8, I will show the notable points that make the Jura E8 a better option for your home.
The Jura E8 has significantly upgraded features like a larger bean hopper, a quieter and quicker grinder, and more programmable options for coffee brewing. As a result, the Jura E8 can give an amazing balance and consistent coffee extraction with excellent crema and deep flavor.
The Jura Impressa C65, on the other hand, maybe more suitable for beginners as it has an easy control display with basic coffee customizable options.

Jura C65 vs E8: Differences
For Jura C6 vs E8 comparison, I see that the Jura E8 wins 4-0 against the C65. The E8 offers a more excellent built-in grinder, better dosing control and programmability over the coffee menu, better coffee flavors, and greater utility.
Grinder & Bean container
Winner: Jura E8
Grinder
The grinder in Jura E8 is much quieter and faster than the C65’s grinder. I think this is because Jura upgraded the grinder’s technology for E8 model, using the Professional Aroma Grinder instead of the Aroma+ Grinder (the one used in C65 model). The E8’s grinder also has more grind settings (6 levels) than the C65’s (5 levels), which provides more control over the grind fineness suitable for your drinks.
Additionally, the brand stated that the new grinder on E8 will offer a 12.2% greater aroma with the high-quality grind. So this means the coffee flavor will be much better and more authentic. I will talk more about the coffee taste later, but I admit that the coffee pulls from the E8 is excellent and tastier than the one from the C65.
As both machines are bean-to-cup type, you need to be careful when choosing the coffee beans to keep their grinder in the best condition and highest performance. You should not use oily beans because this type of bean may lock up your grinder. If you insist on using oily coffee beans, switch to the pre-ground ones and use the machines’ bypass dosers to make your coffee/espresso drinks.
Bean container
The E8 has a larger bean container (10 oz) than the Jura C65 (7 oz). Though this is not a significant difference, the bigger bean container allows you to stock a larger amount of coffee beans, reducing the time of filling the beans for your next cups. So, I think this feature will be useful for people who drink several cups of coffee a day.
Dose control & Programmability
Winner: Jura E8
Both Jura C65 and E8 allow users to adjust the coffee volume, intensity, and temperature, but the Jura E8 offers more programmable options than the C65, helping you to make more coffee drinks with greater taste.
In particular, I can make more espresso drinks with the E8 with one touch of the button. This machine provides 13 coffee drink options for me to choose from, including authentic espresso beverages like americanos, ristretto, and espresso doppio, and milk-based drinks like cappuccino, latte, or flat white.
The E8 also has more adjustable coffee strength levels (8 levels) and milk froth amount, which I really like because I can try different coffee tastes before finding the best one for me. It also helps me to customize the drinks for my friend when they visit my home.
One interesting feature I find on the E8 is the “Interval” setting when I program my latte drinks. This setting will set the delay time between when the machine starts frothing milk and brewing coffee. So, it will create a beautiful layer for my latte!
Brewing technology & Coffee flavor
Winner: Jura E8
The brewing quality of E8 is more excellent than the C65 due to the combination of the Pulse Extraction Process (P.E.P.) and 3D brewing technology. The PEP technology has already performed good espresso shots; however, the combination of 3D brewing technology makes the shots more consistent!
To know the difference, I made double-shot espresso with two machines. The E8 gives me a deeper coffee extraction with great crema and aroma. Meanwhile, the espresso pulled from the Jura C65 tastes thinner and milder, but in general, it gives a good coffee taste. Because I prefer a deeper flavor of coffee, the Jura E8 is what I prefer.
Besides, I noticed the discrepancy in the milk foam quality of Jura C65 vs E8. For me, the Jura E8 produces a denser and more velvet microfoam layer than the Jura C65, making the milk-based coffee more delicious. This is understandable as the milk frother technology is upgraded in the E8 (from Fine Foam Technology in Jura C65 to Professional Fine Foam FrotherG2 in Jura E8).
Utility
Winner: Jura E8
The utility of the Jura E8 is far greater than that of the Jura C65. This is also the additional reason why I think Jura E8 is the upgrade worth my spending. The notable advantages of Jura E8 in this category lie in its wifi app connection and the TFT interface.
App connection
This feature is one of the cool things on the Jura E8. I can control and make coffee with my smartphone or tablet without standing waiting at my coffee corner. I just need to open the app, select the coffee drink, and stand up to grab the cup once it is done. This is especially useful to me when I’m in the middle of doing something and want to grab a cup of coffee immediately.
Interface
The 2.8 inches TFT display on the Jura E8 allows me to know what I am programming and what is happening during the brewing and cleaning process. Meanwhile, the Jura C65 is built with a small display screen and a rotary switch, which may make it difficult to follow the mentioned operating processes.
Jura C65 vs E8: Similarities
The Jura C65 and E8 have some similar features which are unique to Jura’s products. Both machines feature a 64 oz water tank with CLARIS filter and Intelligent Water System. They do have integrated cleaning programs, making cleaning and maintenance easier.
Additionally, Jura E8 and C65 use the thermoblock single boiler heating system, the brewing system with 15 bar pump pressure, and the adjustable Energy Save mode.
