The Jura espresso machines, such as the Jura E6 vs Z6, are two options that many people take into consideration when shopping for home espresso makers. Some people could have trouble deciding which machine to go with. I will vote for the Jura Z6.
The Jura Z6 deserves to be the winner because it provides a higher level of programmability, a more advanced milk frother, a larger water tank capacity, and a bypass doser. If you drink a lot of coffee or want more control over your brewing, this should be the coffee machine that you go for.
The Jura E6 has fewer features than its counterpart but maintains the same high level of brewing technology, making it an attractive option for those who are ready to forego some degree of customization.

Jura E6 vs Z6: Differences
The Jura Z6 defeated the E6 with a score of 4-1. This is because the Z6 offers a greater degree of programmability, a milk frother that is more modern, a larger water tank capacity, and a bypass doser.
1. Espresso Taste
The Winner: It’s a Tie!
Both the Jura E6 and the Jura Z6 have cutting-edge technologies that let them make great-tasting espresso, which makes it hard to choose between the two models. Despite this, there are still a few different features that could affect the coffee flavor.
+ Programmability
It makes me happy to know that both of these espresso machines have settings for the level of coffee strength they dispense. This means that I can drink coffee that is quite strong or coffee that is somewhat balanced, depending on how I’m feeling at the time.
The Jura Z6, however, offers a higher level of programmability than the E6. To begin, it has 10 different levels of adjustable coffee strength, whereas the Jura E6 only has 8 different levels. Additionally, it includes an increased number of programmable brewing temperature levels, which is 3 levels rather than 2 like the Jura E6.
And that’s not even everything! The Jura Z6 allows us to make our own recipes and save them for easy access at a later time. Because of this feature, making my coffee in the morning is a lot less of a hassle for me, and I really appreciate that. This function is only available on the Z6, the Jura E6 does not have it.
+ Bypass Doser For Pre-Ground Coffee
The Z6 comes with a bypass doser in case you want a quick shot of decaf or want to save time by using pre-ground coffee. Meanwhile, the Jura E6 lacks this feature; this model is not able to be used with pre-ground coffee.
Therefore, if you are like me and occasionally crave a decaf drinks, the Jura Z6 is the best choice to go with.
2. Milk System
The Winner: Jura Z6
The milk system on the Z6 was one that I had a lot more fun utilizing. Because the automatic milk system of the Z6 offers 10 levels of temperature, I may play around with it to find the ideal temperature for a certain drink.
Also, the machine switches automatically between frothed and steamed milk in one cup, so I don’t have to do anything.
You can also choose whether the milk is added to the cup before or after the coffee for a perfect cup with the ideal texture and flavor. When it comes to preparing my flat white, caffe latte, and cappuccino, I absolutely adore doing it.
In contrast to the Jura Z6, the Jura E6 does not come with the same level of programmability, which is a major downside of this device. Jura E6 has an integrated milk frother but you can only use the foam to prepare cappuccinos with this machine.
3. Utilities
The Winner: Jura Z6
+ Size
The Jura E6 comes equipped with a water tank that holds 64 ounces and a bean hopper that can hold 280 grams. The Jura Z6 has the same bean hopper capacity, but it has an 81-ounce water tank. Because it has a larger water tank, it is possible for you to make coffee with fewer interruptions for refilling the water, which is very convenient when you are hosting a smaller group of people.
However, this does mean that the Jura E6 is more compact than the Jura Z6, which offers it an advantage over the latter. This is a nice option for folks who have smaller kitchens and want to make the most of their space.
+ Interface
The Jura E6 comes equipped with a straightforward TFT color display along with buttons. The Jura Z6, on the other hand, has a rotary switch in addition to a color TFT display and buttons. Because of this, the Z6’s user interface is much simpler and less time-consuming to operate than the E6’s. This was done to allow for effective programmability.
+ Cup Clearance
Compared to the E6, the mug clearance on the Jura Z6 is significantly higher. On the other hand, the Jura E6 can fit a smaller cup beneath its spout than the Z6 can.
Let me clear up your confusion. The cup height of the E6 can be adjusted from a minimum of 2.5 inches to a maximum of 4.5 inches. And the Z6’s range goes from 3.2 inches to 6 inches.
What does it mean? If you wish to utilize a smaller espresso cup without worrying about splatters, the height-adjustability of the E6 (which is 2.5 inches) is the most compatible. It will let you pour espresso straight into a smaller cup without splattering.
The Z6’s 3.2-inch spout height is relatively higher so while you may be able to slide in tiny espresso under the spout, some splatters are to be expected.
The 3.2-inches spout height of the Z6 is significantly taller, it is possible to fit a very small espresso cup beneath the spout; nevertheless, you should be prepared for some splattering.
Because it is height adjustable up to 6 inches, the coffee spout of the Z6 can fit a taller cup or even a travel mug with ease. While the E6 can only go up to 4.5 inches, which isn’t very good for tall glasses and mugs.
4. Cleaning And Maintenance
The Winner: It’s a Tie
Both of these espresso makers are easy to maintain and clean. Just empty the drip tray and the coffee ground container. Then, use the brand’s cleaning tablet to start the automatic cleaning cycle.
If the C.L.E.A.R.Y.L filter needs to be changed, either the E6 or the Z6 will let you know (if you install one). The device will be able to detect the presence of the filter, and it will update itself accordingly.
Jura E6 vs Z6: Similarities
When it comes to similarities, the Jura E6 and Z6 have a lot in common.
To begin, it is easy to see that both machines use the cutting-edge technologies that Jura has patented. The Intelligent water system, 15-bar pressure, the P.E.P., the Fine Foam technology, the I.P.B.A.S., and the cleaning, rinsing, and descaling technologies are all examples of these types of technologies.
The E6 and the Z6 are high-end machines, so they have some other cool things in common. For example, both come equipped with drip trays that can be monitored and prepared for wireless use. Another similarity between the two is that both have energy save mode and programmable settings that let you choose the amount of water, the temperature, and the time it turns off.
