Nespresso Creatista Plus vs Lattissima Pro: Which Nespresso Model Brews and Froths Better?

Nespresso Creatista Plus vs Lattissima Pro is a debate between 2 espresso machines that are very well-received among busy users who have a taste for super-automatic Nespresso.

Because it has an automated frothing mechanism, the Nespresso Lattissima Pro wins and will confirm that it’s worth it to ditch Starbucks. Alongside the obviously bold and full-bodied espresso, its milk foam resembles what I can get with mid-range espresso machines. When it comes to cleaning this equipment, it can’t be easier with the automatic cycles and descaling alert. This one also is slightly cheaper!

With the Nespresso Creatista Plus, I have been able to brew very delicious espresso with velvety crema. I’ve tested it multiple times, and the outcomes are wonderful each time. Velvety espresso paired with creamy milk froth is to die for. Additionally, it has a very flexible milk system with several temperatures and texture variations. However, compared to Lattissima Pro, its foam consistency isn’t as impressive.

Nespresso Creatista Plus vs Lattissima Pro: Differences

Nespresso Lattissima Pro wins 2-0 and ties 3 times against Nespresso Creatista Plus. It boasts a hands-free milk-frothing operation that delivers fluffy foam with its automatic carafe.

Espresso extraction

Tie

Thanks to the 19-bar pump pressure, I have extracted very rich cups of espresso with a full-bodied texture with this pair. There is no need to use Nespresso capsules either, because the machines aren’t designed just for brand capsules, and they don’t have the barcode identification feature either. It’s a very free espresso extraction experience.

There is a catch here, through. The size of the capsule slot is permanent, and there is no way for it to take variably sized capsules. So you must know the size of the capsules you use. So, in that case, it’s still more convenient to use Nespresso products designed to fit their machines. With Nespresso Creatista Plus, users need original capsules that are smaller. As for Lattissima Pro, it’s designed for Nespresso Grand Cru capsules, which are slightly bigger.

When it comes to Nespresso machines, many users worry about the coffee crema being too thick and having bubble-like consistency, which is far from the quality crema we know and love. However, that’s not the case with Nespresso Creatista Plus and Lattissima Pro. The crema has a good mouthfeel and isn’t too thick. The texture of the espresso, thus, is perfectly made.

Milk frother

Winner: Nespresso Lattissima Pro

Nespresso Lattissima Pro wins the round with its efficient milk carafe. The entire milk frothing process is automatic, and I don’t have to adjust anything if I don’t want to. And if I want to alter the milk texture, there is a simple dial on the carafe itself where I can switch up the density of the foam.

Speaking solely of the foam texture, I’m very satisfied with what I get from this machine. The separation of steamed milk and milk foam is very noticeable, especially when I brew cappuccinos or latte macchiatos. The white and airy foam layer sits perfectly right on top of the espresso without blending into it. That shows a great difference between the 2 liquids’ consistency.

As for Nespresso Creatista Plus, the milk texture can get from creamy to slightly dry as well. But it can never get as dry as I want it to be, and it tends to blend with the espresso. Thus, layers separation isn’t as clear and satisfying as Lattissima Pro.

Programmability

Tie

These models allow the same adjustments to their recipes, which are quite standard for any espresso machine available on the market right now. You can customize the espresso volume, milk length, and milk texture with ease. The Creatista Plus allows milk temperature alteration as well. So, even though these are super-automatic Nespresso machines, users still control many brewing aspects.

Utilities

Tie

This pair, like any other Nespresso machine, has an auto shut-off function. After 9 minutes of inactivity, they will turn off to save energy. You don’t have to worry about turning it off. It’s a touch-and-go experience through and through.

Also, thanks to their transparent water tank, it’s easy to keep up with the refilling. If you brew about 3 cups per day with milk, they will require daily refilling. If it’s just espresso, the tanks can last 2 days max. Speaking of tank size, Creatista Plus has a 60 oz reservoir, which is bigger than Lattissima Pro’s 43 oz tank.

Price and value

Winner: Nespresso Lattissima Pro

With a more potent milk system and lower selling price, Nespresso Lattissima Pro undoubtedly boasts a better price and value. Everything about this machine is well-designed. It has 2-tier cup support, a responsive interface, delicious coffee flavor, and much more. There is no reason to refuse it at this point!
