Which one wins in the debate of Nespresso Pixie Aluminum vs Titanium? When it comes to the Nespresso Pixie line, this model can provide excellent espresso taste and texture. It is also adept at extracting coffee with the lowest noise possible. Overall, this line is for you if you want a straightforward espresso maker at a good price.
But what makes Pixie Titanium the worthy winner is that its material is much more durable than aluminum, which is the material that Nespresso uses for the side panel of Nespresso Pixie Aluminum. So despite being slightly more expensive, it’s a worthy investment because the metal protects your machine better!
So, my pick for the winning position is Nespresso Pixie Titanium!

Nespresso Pixie Aluminum vs Titanium: Differences
Nespresso Pixie Titanium wins 1-0 and ties twice against the Aluminum version. In fact, I would have given them a tie. However, each version is designed for a different purpose (value and money), and I will mention said purpose below so you can choose!
Espresso flavor
Tie
Regarding the espresso extraction, the pair does an equally good job, which is not surprising given that they belong to the same product line, just with different skin materials. The pair uses the same 19-bar pump pressure to pull espresso. The pressure is strong enough to pierce the film that protects the coffee grounds inside the capsule. And it’s definitely strong enough to pull the bold flavors and velvety crema from the capsule of choice.
With the 23.7 oz, you can easily pull 5 cups of espresso per day before refilling the tanks. Keep in mind, though, that the tanks leak a bit due to their design, which is quite prone to leaking because the tank connects to the water pipe via a hole in the bottom. Therefore, it’s advisable not to fill the tank to its max level. Instead, keep the water level above medium and under max, and the leaking subsides significantly.
After having your espresso, you don’t have to turn the machines off as they do it automatically after 9 minutes of inactivity. This feature helps save energy and prolong products’ lifespan, even when the owners are forgetful.
Material
Winner: Nespresso Pixie Titanium
This is the major difference between the 2 versions. Outside of the machines along their sides, the devices are protected with a panel made of metal, and the metal type varies in this case. With Nespresso Pixie Aluminum, we got the aluminum panel. And for the Titanium version, we got the titanium panel.
The pros of aluminum are that it is corrosion-resistant and lightweight, but the material isn’t as durable as stainless steel or titanium. And even though titanium tends to be heavier, it only requires a small amount to make an alloy that is more durable than aluminum. Thus, the weight of both machines is the same. However, users must pay more than they have to for the aluminum version to have the titanium panel.
There is a trade-off factor here, so consider the pros and cons of each material/ device.
Noise level
Tie
These two are very quiet whenever they extract espresso. Having a noise-free espresso maker is bliss for many users these days, whether because they live in a strict apartment building or sleep-training their infant. Or, the reason can be much simpler: nobody likes loud rumbling and screeching sounds. This problem can be easily avoided with the assistance of this pair.
